When I registered this domain name, I had it in mind to record the history, treatment and progress of my brain stem tumour. The ups and downs we experience with something like that, in the hope that it would help those in a similar situation or inform those who know somebody in a similar situation. I shall continue to do that.
What I soon realised, though, was that this “cancer journey” really takes second place to my faith journey which has been proceeding in parallel. And who wouldn’t rather be defined by the joy of faith than by disease?
Although the biggest concern now is my brain tumour, the cancer actually started in a kidney. The history of that and how we got to where we are now is outlined HERE.
My faith and lack of faith is a rather longer and more circuitous history and is summarised HERE. I hope it will resonate with some of my readers, perhaps more especially the period where I had this feeling, almost certainty in fact, that God existed, but not doing anything about it.
Incidentally, I have never liked the idea that God exists in that the word “exist” seems too weak. I believe that God IS – He always has been and always will be.
